5 Fixes To Make (Or Not) Before Listing

fixes-to-make

There are a few things to consider, however, as you walk through your home with your agent during your listing consultation.

Paint

Fix this! There’s no accounting for the massive upgrade a fresh coat of paint can bring!

Energy Efficient Windows

Don’t fix! While adding new windows can be a major selling point, it’s also a project that can quickly snowball in time and cost.

Minor Kitchen Issues

Fix this! Things like plumbing leaks should be fixed, and small updates like switching out light fixtures can make a big difference.

Major Kitchen Upgrades

Don’t fix! Unless there are major structural issues, most new buyers would prefer to do something suited to their own taste and needs.

Floors

Fix this! From fixing scratched wooden floors, to replacing cracked tile, to cleaning dirty carpet, a little money spent on sprucing up floors can be well worth the investment.

Once you have determined which things in your home should be fixed prior to listing, get bids from more than one vendor, and choose the vendor with whom you feel most comfortable. If you are unsure where to start, ask your agent for vendor recommendations. We at Tucson Power Group maintain an extensive vendor list, and we hold our vendors to a high standard.
